An Afternoon in Yangon — Faces of Myanmar

Took a stroll through Myanmar’s former capital Yangon. All shot with a cheap point-and-shoot, my preferred travel cam for on-the-go, the Fujifilm F series F750EXR. It’s a simple camera that doesn’t scare away people when pointing the lens at them. No post-processing, only slight contrast and vibrance adjustments where necessary. Not sure which shadow I prefer…

Thanks, wonderful pictures! One more proof that a good photographer can make the best use of any camera.

    • Appreciate your kind words Christian!

What a wonderful set of images! I was in Myanmar in 1996 and it left an indelible impression on me – I hope to return one day. Thank you for this lovely glimpse.

    • Myanmar didn’t change much since then, Daniel, at least on the outside. But what’s happening since the elections is quite amazing, just to mention the new traffic jams and exorbitant property prices… classic gold rush mood.
